
ANNE ERNI
Chief People Officer
Anne Erni is the Chief People Officer at Audible, an Amazon subsidiary and leading creator and provider of premium audio storytelling. As a member of the executive team, Anne leads Audible’s People and Places team, which comprises Human Resources; Workplace, Real Estate and Facilities; and Newark neighborhood-making.
Prior to joining Audible in February 2016, Anne was Head of Human Resources at Bloomberg L.P. During her tenure, she led the implementation of the company’s Global Leadership Forum, Bloomberg’s first diversity and inclusion initiative, and revamped the succession-planning process.
Before that, Anne served as the Managing Director and Chief Diversity Officer at Lehman Brothers, where she pioneered global efforts in the recruiting, retention, and advancement of women and under-represented groups in financial services. She led the development of global strategies for workforce, marketplace and supplier diversity, and the work-life integration agenda. Anne transitioned to the HR profession with more than 15 years of front-line banking experience in fixed-income, prime-brokerage sales, and in corporate banking -- covering both private and public sector clients.
Outside of work, Anne is passionate about environmental conservation; diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI); and education. She serves as an advisor and trustee on several boards, including as a trustee on the New York State Board of The Nature Conservancy and as a mentor in W.O.M.E.N. In America (WIA), a professional development and mentoring program for women.
Anne received her B.A. from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, and an M.A. from the School of Advanced International Studies from Johns Hopkins University in Washington, D.C., and Bologna, Italy. She lives in New York City and East Hampton, N.Y. with her husband, Nicolas, and loves seeking adventures and skiing, kayaking and hiking with her two children, Paulina and Noah.
